There's an orange label right under the bolt, looks like it reads SELENIUM. A little is good for you, just a couple of micrograms often found in multivitamin/mineral pills. More than that, toxic. Big rectifier should be "for display purposes only."

Just a guess - they were intended for use in hi voltage equipment. I remember seeing some sockets like these in old televisions. There's also the 'potato masher' 5R4's with a similar cup around the base of the tube.

I'm intrigued with the UFO looking vacuum tube, wonder what that is? And that doodad in the bottom photo, some sorta calibrated good luck charm?

For sure the cupped tube sockets are for high Voltage
I have some in 8 pin...

Ditto on the UFO tube, looks like a dually (recto maybe) that operates at very high voltages. Hence the plate pins routed out the top of the envelope. Odd to be pins rather than top caps though.
