That wire usually has an aluminium ( okay spellcheck, 'aluminum' ) core. Wouldn't that produce a bright sound, rather than a brown one? [IMG:20:20]http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr333/valvetone/smilies/head_scratch_zpsb9a8e69c.gif[/img]

I see a green resistor in all that brown.
Are those processed by civets?
That's funny. Might be money in it. Maybe we can get guitar gods to 'process' the caps. "These were pooped by Eddie!" $5G a set.

Here is progress report on Brown Sound.
Added 1 orange Mallory to circuit, could not see using a Brown 600volt cap in presence circuit. Save it for another amp. :) Orange is kind of like brown just lighter, right?

Jeff

With a super clean build like that no ones gonna notice an orange cap. What Orange cap? See!!

Super job...
In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.

Not sure what the difference is between TC75 and TC75A other than label.
The others are Mallory also.

Max ESR is higher and ripple current is about two thirds.

Decided to change the 20uf caps, not that the Mallory's would not work.
I have used the CDE's before, have not used the TC75A's. Did not notice the
A in the part number when I got them. Thanks redshark. :)

And that's why Jeff's Express's sound as great as they do.
Attention to detail.
Every time you think "that's close enough" you're screwed.
Just saying what's been said a thousand times before.
It all matters - especially with the Express.
