Re: cabinet internal shielding
I use aluminum flashing sold at your local hardware store. Cut to size and attach it with a shot of Super 77 spray adhesive. Seems to hold up pretty well. It's the same material as the chassis, so it should provide comparable shielding. Definitely higher quality than the 'metallic' contact paper they put in my Z28.
Re: cabinet internal shielding
If you want to go the cheaper route, you can buy aluminum HVAC tape from Lowe's or Home Depot. Just be sure to get the uncoated kind.
Re: cabinet internal shielding
Another option is hobby stores that sell rolled up sheets of copper for copper art. Easy to cut with scissors. You can glue or staple it. Copper is a GREAT shield.
Wife: How many amps do you need?
Me: Just one more...

Re: cabinet internal shielding
is there anywhere to order a roll of tape thats like 1' wide. instead of covering it with 1 inch strips?
Re: cabinet internal shielding
Fender used window screen, w/edges folded twice under to eliminate edge fraying. It works great!, and you don't need 100% shielding to tame the noise.
Re: cabinet internal shielding
...provided you can still find Aluminum (vs. plastic) window screen!
I like the brass/copper foil, which I've used with success, but it's gotten scarce at the local mega-craft stores recently.
I've also used the HVAC sheet tin (cheap and widely available, but not amenable to normal staple guns).
