Well, it is Ken in both two last pictures. Amp looks legit. I think he replaced most of the old carbon comp resistors at a later stage with those pretty dark red 5% metal film Beyschlags. Of these I have enough to make some 30 JTM45 resistor sets

So too much! Ken Bran's friggin' prototipo. I guess if one lives long
enough they really do see it all.

I'd guess it's pretty a remote chance that I'd ever find any of the
metal film Beyschlags in the US.

Funny how Ritchie Blackmore was a respected judge of tone at one
time. He was such a pompous ass in Deep Purple.

Holy smokes, that's the most expensive Bassman I've ever seen! "Designed and engineered"? I won't deny being a rip-off artist myself, but I've never claimed to actually design or engineer - only modify.

I predict that his next auction shall be: the Fender used for reference in the construction of JTM45 #2.

It has been done. There are at least two specialized funds in the US focusing on vintage gear, mainly guitars but also amps.

Man, I got a letter the other day from my union saying our pension fund is in a critical state.
I'm about 10 years from retiring......

Hopefully the president will start working on the economy before then.
