Ampeg B-25

Post by C Moore »

Can you guys explain these two resistors?
Coming off the rectifier, between nodes A and B, those two 30/600 caps. Does it seem right for the two resistors to be in parallel? Seems like the current should hit the 1k resistor, then the first cap; then the 10k and then the second cap.
I don't understand why the 1k and 10k are in parallel like that.
Thank You

They're not in parallel. The 10K goes to node C and the 1K goes to node B.

If you look closely you'll see a bridge where the 10K line crosses the B line.

OK, Thank You.
As hard as that is to see on the link I provided, it is impossible to see on the copy I printed. I don't think I would have ever seen this without your help.
Thanks Again

This is a typical ampeg design. They often separate power supplies,, likely to induce less sag on a given node.

I have used these for reverb, or the ps for a built in dlator.
it really is a journey, and you just cant farm out the battle wounds
