Nice guitar chops and think you have captured the essential *umble tone. Sounds like you have caught the tweak bug too. LOL
That's OK, I don't know if I'll ever be finished w/my tweaks either. Thanks for sharing the layout and clips. I agree w/Normster, guess I need to go back and re-tweak mine some more too.
You mentioned your Mvol was set at a moderate level, What was your preamp vol set at when you recorded the sound clip? I'm guessing maybe a 10 o'clock setting?
cheers BobW
Hi BobW,

Thanks for Your compliment. Actually the amp sounds quite better than recorded sample, but I think that is always the case.

Yes I love to tweak everything. I've built every guitar (8),amp (3) and pedal (30+) I'm using so it is really 'safe' (no vintage value) to tweak them

The settings was:
volume 1 o´clock
rock
bright off
boost on
deep off
drive 10 o'clock
drive vol 11 o'clock
master 9 o'clock (or less)
presence 12 ö'clock
reverb 1 o'clock

I would really like to know how to record my clone in the right way. Dogears recordings are very 'lively' more presence on the I quess.. I met Andy Fuchs and he said that dogears makes better recordings at home than most people do at studio

dogears ? Would like to share some secrets

cheers,
mat

Hi Mat, the clip sounded really nice, good job on the amp
.

Thank You Gary.
Here is my recording setup.

Oktava MK319 microphone
Aphex Preamp
Yamaha 01V96R2 Mixer. (all effects are added in the mixer, the amp was recorded dry)
Mackie SDR2496 recorder
Ok, pro equipment - pro sound with the clone I quess.
For my recordings, I use two tracks for the backing track and 1 for the guitar. I re-record the mixdown back onto the Mackie. Once I am happy with the mix, I move the files into the computer for final mastering and tweaking. Using Wavelab and the Ozone mastering plugin
.

All right. I have to study more of the recording software  I'm using Cubase SX3 with my Audiophile 24/96.

Oh boy ! in the old days (4track c-casette recorders) I got tons of material but nowdays with PC I look at the monitor more than I listen to the sound... while I'm playing.....

Thanks,
mat
