I had far too many people convince me that the SF DR would never be worth much, so I came that close to the point of no return.

Time has proven them wrong.

I restored everything back to spec, only left the NFB mod...and I refuse to do any mods on it again. It is perfect!

Cygnus, what was your goal with the NFB mod and what values did you use? Thanks.

Hahah, nice. I was wondering if you tried a different value for the feedback resistor or tried a pot to vary it. Just curious.

Well, it was something to do with that polarity switch that I removed.
So my thinking was, of all the mods I tried, whcih one did I like the most?

And since it exhibited no trouble with removal of NFB (like some BF circuits do), I went with it.
Amazing, since it resides right next to the AC input, but it works. I usually leave the NFB "Off".

If any Creepy Wallys happen, then a flick of the switch tames it back to spec.
