so after all this time...
What do you guys think are THE values of plates a cathodes resistors acording to hybrid a?. I like 220k/3k3, 150k/2k2, 180k/3k3, 120k/1k8 on hrd, and 220k/3k3, 150k/2k2, 180k/3k3, 120k/2k2 on non post od eq amps. What about series resistors and caps?. The reason i'm asking is because the schems seems to have different values and it's difficult to deicde what to choose when you are beggining a new amp...Thanks a lot for your replies...this forum is always inspirational, and there's a lot of knowledge, and real nice people to share things with...
Re: so after all this time...
Like all tweaks, it depends. The layout, the iron, the voltages etc are all variables that we control only to a certian degree.
I used 220k/3.3k and 150k/2.7k on mine, but I didn't settle on these until I tried several values first.

Re: so after all this time...
Thanks bob...Did you tried something with 100k/1k5?. Also...i read about chokes and resistors...what are you using and why?..Thanks a lot!
Re: so after all this time...
Why not take a look at the schematic I posted on the files page. It should answer your questions on the values I used.swt wrote:Thanks bob...Did you tried something with 100k/1k5?. Also...i read about chokes and resistors...what are you using and why?..Thanks a lot!
I have 100k/1.5k on the clean channel of the 3 channel. It's very different than the Dumble channel, much more spank and a lot less cream.
I'm using a choke. I haven't tried a resistor yet but it's on my to-do list.

Re: so after all this time...
I used both the 100k-1k5 and 220k-3k3; 150k-2k2; 180-2k7 and 120-1k8 or 2k2, all with good results. It is really a matter of taste and fine tuning.
Re: so after all this time...
I'm trying to find som 220K, 150K, 180K, 200K values of the RN65C Vishay/Dale resistors on Mouser. I got some 100K and 200K earlier, but I can't seem to find 180K in the inventory.. not stocked it says..
Where do you guys buy your plate resistors?

RN65 comes in
221k
200k
182k
150k
For cathodes, I use 3.32k with the 221k and 2.74k with the 182k.
Hope this helps.

Re: so after all this time...
No... I was only saying those are the values I use with the RN65 resistors. 182k plate gets a 2.74k cathode.....
