Myspace

Post by gahult »

I have a new Myspace page. If anyone cares to stop by for a visit it's.

http://www.myspace.com/garyhultgren

Not much there yet, mostly family pictures and such, couple of amps and things. But, it's being worked on.
There's a lot of learn as I go as far as building it up with the tools they provide.
Not like the old page editors I used to use way back.

Feel free to leave a comment.......be nice. :) And hook up on the friends if you like. I'll add ya.

Thanks,

Gary

Right now like the picture here with less and shorter hair on top.

Will go back to that if it gets to hot this summer. :D

I've been known to shave mine in the summer :D It's amazing though that the little hair I've got keeps the sun off more than you might expect :!:

Once the saw dust was cleared out of the carb she fired right up. :) Good thing as a trail of termites was coming on fast.

Doc you need to be like those Holywood physicians of the Stars and charge $150,000/year up front to be their personal physician time about 20 of them.

Tom,

Thanks for stopping over.

You are very welcome.

After so many years .....38..... it is gratifying to to hear thank yous being given.

I received my first spoken "thank you for your service" 6/5/09 at my Orthopedic doctors office. I had my USMC veteran hat on (not thinking about it). I was taken aback by the words from gentleman (I think a Dr.) on the other side of the receptionist's office. I didn't realize what he said for a second. Then I was tongue tied and didn't know what to say but I finally got out a you're welcome.

The really strange thing is that I have received several more since then. I think the country is coming to appreciate what our service people are sacrificing for us more these days.

It was bad back in the day. When we came home from Nam we had to wear civilian clothes as the servicemen were being spit on in the airports.

When the wife and I went on our vacation we had some time to kill between flights so we went into the bar at the airport for a beer and hot dog. There were several young servicemen at the next table various distances from home. Remembering what it was like I bought them their drinks and we all had a nice visit we thanked them and all went on our way.

................I have a bunch of pictures in albums and slides from the days in the Corps but I haven't scanned them to the computer yet.....hmmm 40 years since I went in, maybe I should get to it.

Really I have been thinking about it lately as I want to get more than just the 2 or 3 up there. Just every time I get ready a print/scanner goes to hell and I have to learn how to use a different one.

Gotta run. These all nighters are hard on us old people. I have to get up to the hospital and pick up mother and take her to the nursing home tomorrow...this morning.

If I get some more service pics on there I'll give this a bump.

Later and thanks again.

Gary, Semper Fi and welcome home Marine.

Thanking the veterans for there service is something we do at every interview at the VA and during each Appeal Hearing as well. The WWII guys really appreciated that back when I worked ER, checkin desk and specialty clinics. We continue the tradition with every veteran. After 30 years of serving veterans I never tire of talking to them and exchange our service stories.

I had the priviage of meeting many of the Baton Death March POWs for observation and examination we were conducting. Unfortunately most in this area have passed on, I miss them.
