New guy with TW questions,

Post by Fadedsunburst59 »

Hey guy's, I am so glad I found this place! Ok I have a few questions you guys can help me with, I just bought a TW express type amp and I want to build a head box for it, I have all of the tool's table saw,18" re-saw, 14"bandsaw, etc. But I need some detailed plans on how they are made.Or if it would be less of a headache and more cost effective to buy one.

I also want to build a speaker cab to match but I would like to know what kind of cab sounds best open back closed back 1x12 or 2x12 and if I can get instructions and dementions for the style cab that sounds the best, I play alot of classic rock in the vein of zz top, free, Boston etc, I also play alot of classic blues along with Gary moore stuff.

Any help would be awsome!!! thanks guys!!

The second post in that thread has a link to the Express Build Guide, which is a 78 page document that has a section on building the head box.

Open and closed backs have pros and cons. That's why I build a new cover for the back of my 4x10 so the bottom 2 are closed and the top 2 are open. Tight bass with fullness in room.
If it says "Vintage" on it, -it isn't.
