Matchless Clubman
Hello all, I built a Clubman type head using an EF86 ( I already had one) instead of the 6SH7 and I really like it. I want to build another one in a combo but I hear that these type tubes can be very microphonic. I have found a source for NOS Brimiar 6BR7 that is an EF86 with a different pinout. Does anyone have some experience with this tube?

That must have been a cool project. I am considering to build one as well.
Can you please post a schematic of your build with the EF86? The only schem that is on the net shows a 6SH7. I want to avoid another oktal socket and would therefore prefer to build one with an EF86.
