Couldn't sleep with the dogs barking this morning so I searched this out.
He talks about Ken's help with his dr.z amp and amps thru his career.
Quite a few interviews with him at this sight, and he mentions his wrecks in them.
searched to see if this was posted before...didn't look like it.

I enjoyed listening, Brad is an amazing player......and I'm a rock guy...but were a dime a dozen....those country chops got money written all over em.....Brad would still be making money if he couldn't sing...NowFender wrote:http://www.guitarjamdaily.com/index.php ... ion-3.html

Nice taste in gear too, I wish I could of met Ken....I had his number, but never wanted to bother the amp icon when he was ill...Dennis Kager is pretty cool.....Him and Ken disagreed about some things at least a little bit that I know of.......

I listened to this and remember reading the exact words in a guitar magazine so it was fun to listen to Brads excitement about all things guitar and the amps that go with them.

I saw him on his latest tour when he came through Tacoma in February. It was a really good show, and his tone and his playing were impeccable. Believe it or not, the volume was too high. I've been to many rock concerts that weren't that loud. I aint bitchin, but the sound would have been better a few decibels lower.
I was looking for his gear and was a little bummed by the fact that he only had one Z amp on the stage with him. That's it. There was a wall of fake amps, but the only amp visible on stage was the single blue Z. I don't know if was the Z Wreck or the Stangray or if he was even playing through it. I do know he had at least 4 different distinct amp tones and he wasn't the one switching them. He didn't have a pedal board or switching board on the stage at all, so everything was being remotely switched by someone else.
His second guitar player was an older grey haired guy that had a SMOKIN tone when he came out to swap solos on a couple of different songs. He was playing a gold top les paul with p90's and his tone absolutely smoked Brad's with the Teles. There was no comparison. Of course those songs were pretty much balls to the wall rock songs, so go figure

Fake TVs at a concert you mean like these? These were his old stage setup.

Yeah, the fake "amps" looked a little like that except the screen was full width of the "amp" and they were blue. They lit up at various points in the concert like one very large screen. It was cool, but I still wanted to be able to see which amps were being played. I was disappointed there.

That was great to listen to. I have seen Brad play out and it looks like he is using a TW, but this wasn't mentioned on the interview. Does anybody know if he is still using the TW and what model it is?
Thanks,
Robbie

According to the March 2009 Paisley interview in Guitar Player <b>"I didn't use any distortion pedals on the new album. When you hear any kind of distorted sound, it's the Trainwreck Liverpool 30. Turn that amp up anywhere past 11 o'clock and it's dirty."</b> The Liverpool is named "Hattie Mae".
I don't know if Brad is still using it however (but would *guess* that he does...it's a true Wreck after all).
Regards,
Dave
