Man did we get hit hard yesterday with a thunder storm.
I had just gotten the lawn mowed and all of a sudden a huge wind came through.
I'll bet it was gusting over 60 mph!
I was afraid it was going to snap a couple of my taller trees.
Then it started raining huge droplets with lightening and thunder all around
This is pretty rare here, we hardly ever get close lightening.
The storm drains could not cope with the massive deluge that happened.
These pictures are from my driveway. The water ended up coming halfway up my driveway and covered half of my front yard.
It rained over .60" in less than 20 minutes.
My crazy neighbor had his toy sail boat out in the flood.
I saw another whacked out kid actually swimming in this crap the next street over.
You guys from the Midwest probably think this is nothing but I can't remember the last time it rained this hard here.
There were even tornado watches issued and one was sighted Northeast of here.

In Mississippi in late spring and early summer , we call that "Thursday". I'm 200 miles from the coast. When Katrina came thru the rain filled up a 5 gallon bucket that was in the bed of my truck. We call that a "frogstrangler".
I hope you didn't receive any damage.
