AO-44 PT rating as donor for Da Geezer's 6bm8 Little Wing ?

Post by chopstuck »

The PT is small and I figure if I switch to diode rectos and free up another 1 amp of 6v heater current I could fuel another three 12ax7's easily at 0.1 amps each. I don't know the PT's rating on either secondary. Anyone know or hazard a guess ?

Thanks Mark, I read that thread before I posted. I just wanted to get an idea if the PT was up to the task or if I should use one for el84's. Some of the schematic was there but not all of it...kinda strange.

The Hammond AO-35 and AO-44 from my understanding have over rated power supply and output trannies so I would not see a problem using them.
