OK, anyway, here they are again. Not great pics but interesting in that it looks like the amp has a .02 input cap for the PI and a filter on the 2nd stage plate resistor. The cap between the 2nd and 3rd stages is single too and not two in parallel as was sometimes the case. That cap looks a little big for a .002 as well. I found these on an old floppy disc last nite, I think they may have come from and ancient auction for this amp.

Sorry about that! For the last two weeks the host has been upgrading servers and I think they screwed the database conversion. Luckily they do dail backups but, because we post a lot, a couple of threads got deleted.

Could be the .002 cap is rated at 1600volts...if Ken used what he had on hand. The brown pvc 1600volt Mallory caps are that big.

ya, could be. Since it looks like he lowered the value of the PI input cap to .02 from what you'd expect, .1, I wondered if maybe he raised the value of that other cap to compensate and that larger sized cap helps make me wonder.

My work had ginger in for sale a year or two ago, never got the chance to pop the hood or try her out..

I'm sure we'll get another at some point and when we do i'll be all over it lol

I'm thinking back, but i believe their was some info posted about values.
I believe it was the Carol Ann amps guy that seviced it, and posted the info. may have to do some searching to find it.
