I'm not exactly sure what is confusing you, but the way Nik connected the OT centertap to pin 4 of the second socket looks more confusing than it actually is. The screens and OT centertap on the original layout are tied to the same point as the 2nd choke wire is at the filter capacitor. Meaning that both are powered by the same voltage so it doesn't matter, his way will work, but looks funny going to pin4 on both sockets and then from the last socket to the OT CT.

Are you (Mirlo02) looking inside an amp, or basing it on a schematic.

Also, other than the OT CT wire going to V5 instead of V4, the Ceriatone doesn't appear that much different. I'm new at reading layouts ... did I miss something?

Same thing electrically.

The CT just goes to V5 instead of V4.

I also notice that Nik has the primary wires reversed from the original.

Some fender tweed amps did this (5E1, 5F2, 5E8A are the same). It puts the screens a couple of volts higher than the plates at idle but that doesn't matter much. Stick a 1k-4k7 5W resistor from the 'screen node' cap to the screens if that bothers you (It didn't bother Leo at the time)
