Which ODS board/picture?

Post by fred_farkel »

Hi Everybody...I've decided to assemble an ODS board and find there are so many drawings, pictures and all yet there seems to be some question as to which of them are correct! I gotta tell ya I'm really flying by the seat of my pants on this one so if anyone has an idea as to which one or two might be the most correct I would really apreciate the guidance here.
Many thanks in advance!

+1 me too same question. I realize that after the build comes the voicing so maybe any of the boards gets you there. I dunno. As it now stands I'm working from the Rev A scheme.

Get ye to acplink.com and look for the Dumble pics for #40. (Year is listed as "n/a") There are about 25 pics of the chassis from all angles. By my calcs, the board is 2-5/8" x 8", 3/8" spacing for eyelets, and 2-1/8" for the longest component leads. (Top and bottom eyelets inset 1/4")

I wouldn't necessarily try to guess at the component values, but it's a "real" Dumble layout that should work reasonably well. However, as Dogears will no doubt suggest, forget about the weird OD network.

The pics will also help with component layout, grounding schemes, and lead dress.

From acplink, here's one shot of the preamp board...
