Hey do any of you guys know from a glance what year this Fender OT is?
I'm going to put it on the sell block and I want to get an idea of what it's worth. I believe it to be a silverface 8 ohm, but I'm not sure. Somebody put this in a Pro reverb I once restored and quite honestly...the Pro sounded better with this.
It says Fender on the top and the numbers are.. oo2855
606834
Thanks

it's a channel for mounting bolts, you can hold the bells on with 2 instead of 4 bolts if you were so inclined.
date is 34th week of 68 or 78, my guess is 78 since the leads are pvc instead of lacquered cloth but it's hard to be totally sure without the rest of the amp for reference.
I'd say '68. Both my '66 and '67 Bassman OTs have PVC insulation on the leads, not cloth.
Cloth leads on these, from a '73 SF BMR...
The original OT on my '71 Pro Reverb has cloth-covered leads, but the one in your picture and the original from my Pro are different style/manufacture OTs than the one the OP shows. The one in the OP's picture is in the style and size of a Bassman OT.
Whatever... it's still a useful OT for some project.
