Re: Swamp Thing Amp
I'm in the same boat, switched over from autocad for ease of use and could use some symbols if anyone wants to donate.

Thanks

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
I use Autocad (2000i).
I still have crazy ideas about hot linking to a spreadsheet to calculate values, but have found it unecessary to tackle it yet.
I guess I'm just too comfortable with it-I can sketch in autocad about as quick as I can on paper.

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
These are the shapes I use. Should be OK with Visio 2003 and up. Might be sketchy in earlier versions.

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
I have Office XP Pro and unfortunately it didn't come with Visio.
Don't know why.
I thought I read that it is part of the Office software package?
I don't suppose there is anywhere to download Visio is there?

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
Structo, I was in the same boat. PM me your address and I can send you a copy of 2003 visio that loads and doesn't interfere with XP pro.
Re: Swamp Thing Amp
I have a few days left on my trial period then I have to buy or I'm done, rats.

Alright I don't know how you can draw so good but I have been practicing and will hone my skills until I master this program.
Here is another try, don't mind the circuit I am trying to figure out how to use visio better.

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
Ok I am going to look this layout over close and see if I can finally build that swampthing amp correctly this time.
I noticed that the guy that provided the schematic and layout for the board has the board copied in a mirror image and that is why it did not make sense to me.

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
Thanks Tom, but I need to verify the circuit is correct before anyone should follow the layout. This is a learn curve for me doing this.

Re: Swamp Thing Amp
Well it has been a while since I last worked on this SE Swampthing amp and she lives and sounds darn good for a little shaver amp. It has pots to mix the hi and lo input signal together and master volume. I could not get the triode switch to work probably had the wrong type of switch.
Tried 6V6, EL34 and 6L6 through a G12-100 celestion 4 ohm and also through my Z 212 celestion alnico blues. A hour later I was done playing on my tele.
It was cheap surplus trannies and fun to build.
