The DIY Marshall authority..

Post by benoit »

I'm thinking about a 50W Marshall for my next build, and I was wondering if there's a DIY forum dedicated to that sort of thing. I've googled it up a little but haven't found anything super promising. If that means I just have to dig a little deeper to find the info I want that's cool, but I'd like to start my search where the info is most plentiful/accurate.

Recognize that he sells parts, kits, and entire Marshall-type amps, but Metro has a pretty decent forum

I like the old PlexiPalace forum. The new link/name is:

You appear to be right. Thanks to both of the Metro-suggestors, I had found that website but didn't notice the forum.

The 18W thing is a good thought except that they don't deal much with anything but 18/36 watters, though I'm sure I will end up there before I'm through building amps.

Looks like a 1987 is up next. S'pose I could always try rockstah's wreck front end too, not entirely out of the question.

Ben,

Metro has downloadable layouts of many marshall amps I would go there. I buy many parts from George as well.

A +1 for George from me. I'm in the UK and still use him for certain things, whatever I'm building. He's a stand-up guy.

18Watt.com has a sister site that caters to the JTM45 crowd:
