How similar is your amp to the schematic I posted?

Yeah, it's basically like that except i used the 16 ohm tap and a 100k resistor.

Heheheheh, good to know since I have mine on the 16 ohm tap since I am running a single 16.

You don't have to run it off the tap your speaker is using. I just used the 16 because it has more signal, but i'm using the 8 ohm tap with a 8 ohm speaker. I may be wrong, but i'm pretty sure the 47k resistor on that schematic you copied is 47k because it's on the 8 ohm tap. But since you are using the 16 ohm tap you are getting more feedback than typical. It will make your sound smoother at the cost of punch. You may wanna try a 100K. I has a 22k in series with a 100k pot for a while so i could vary the resistance from 22k to 122k and the more you turned it towards less resistance the smoother it got till at 22k it was really smmoth but lost a lot of crunch.

I noticed that schematic shows the presence pot and the cap wired differently than the 2204. Wasn't sure whether it would make any difference, but i wired mine like the plex and it does seem different, tho i haven't had a chance to turn it up to where i can be sure yet. (depends on who's home upstairs)
