Soooooooo, what is everybody planning on doing with that $13 extra you will get each week?

That is what is mind boggling.
The people chose a president that promised change and hope.

He promised to cut the taxes of the middle class.

But that is looking like it will be $65 per month.
O joy!

Now the wife and I can go to McDonald's once a week!

What a load of crap. They give us $13 a week but give $1 trillion to the deadbeats.

Anybody heard that the army and national guard has been training a lot lately for riot control?
There is a battalion in Maryland right now that is training to squash any uprising.

Did you hear that the feds are working on a work around that will allow them to use the national guard in a state even if the Governor doesn't want them there?

Anybody thought about what it's going to be like in four years?

Oh, wait, the Obama said he is going to slash the deficit in half by 2013.

Sooooo, how is he going to do that after spending more than any administration has in the history of our great nation? In the first month!

He has already passed 6 presidential executive orders, that's more than past presidents passed there whole term.

I'm thinkin' you'll buy another AO-29 on eBay every month. Ya gotta beat 'em up on th' price to get 'em down below the "C"-note that last one cost, shipped. Then you literally hammer yer Hammond into a bucks-up Lite II, Spitfire, maybe saw a big-ass hole in a Brown Note chassis and make a D' Lite.

Or ya can buy a box o' ammo...

A tax cut don't mean shit if you ain't workin'. :(

Am I a paranoid redneck? No. I'm a former US Marine who happens to be prepared for the unexpected.

I DO NOT WANT ANY PART OF THIS SOCALISTIC SOCIETY. Casey, this is where I agree with you on the bailout stuff - extending unemployment/benefits to the 10% is necessary in order to keep from melting down from within.

Want to stimulate the economy? Here's an idea: take every taxpaying citizen who HAS NOT fallen behind in their mortgage(90% of the population), has out outstanding balance between $100-$800k, pay HALF their note off under the constraint that they MUST re-fi for 15-30 years and let them pocket the savings. Now personally, I'd invest in remodling rooms in my home(employ contractors, stimulate Home Depot), buy a Corvette ZR-1 and stimulate Detroit by buying their product or perhaps I'd start some sort of business...

Although I personally think the CEO's of Wall St. should be strung up for lying & stealing, who is Obama to place salary caps in the private sector??? How would ANY of you like it if you were told "this job pays $X and you'll never make any more?" Now granted these fat cats pilfered the system but the principle is the same...

I know I just probably turned "flame on" but so be it...I'm almost 50 and I've NEVER seen this kind of meldown in my adult life...

Just my 2 cents

Good choice. Although I go 1 ounce slugs instead o' the slugs 'n' shot rounds. Then stack yer magazine, go #12 birdshot or rubber buck for the first round in the stack, that's fair warning for those who deserve it. Or just cycle it through and get straight to the good stuff...
stink wrote:+1,000 rounds 9mm JHP
I like regular ol' 115 grain FMJ, it's cheap and it will feed in anything. No one is gonna stick around and argue about stoppin' power in real life...

'Course, I can always stack my mags, say four or five FMJ at the top o' the stack and 147 grain Hydra-Shoks under those. There's a damn good reason to have FMJ at the top of the stack, we won't go into that here...

17 rounds in one mag and 33 rounds in another = one full box. The measure of a genuine problem is a problem you can't solve wif 50 rounds...
stink wrote:+1,000 rounds .357 Magnum JHP
I get the wheel gun thing 'cuz it's easy to keep track o' yer brass fer easy reloadin'. The flip side o' the coin is a wimpy rifle kicks more ass than a tough pistol, that is unless you lug a Desert Eagle or a Casull around.
stink wrote:+1,000 rounds .223 cal
I like 7.62-39. I use a wildcat loaded wif a light powder charge and a 155 grain soft point, I end up wif roughly 30-30 ballistics. It's a little more useful when it comes to puttin' meat on the table, more useful than .223, anyway.

Mossberg 500 'cuz it's dirt cheap and I like the top mounted safety. It's a truck gun, toss it in the truck, leave it in the truck, forget about it.

Not much point to a Desert Eagle in .357. It's big 'n' clunky wifout the benefit of the wastebasket sized round it was designed for...

I got stopped in a borrowed red Mitsubishi Montero once. I wuz doin' 42 on a 35 wif an entire gun shop worth o' high capacity mags on the passenger seat, they wuz on the passenger seat 'cuz the footwell was full o' ammo. Cop wrote me a ticket and off I went. Can't do that in Kalifornia...

Bah. So it melts down, so what? No one has the balls to do anything about it anymore. Same shit, different day... we'll all have a noisy argument while our way of life is chipped away and sold out piece by piece. When it's all gone... and it's part o' the way there already... we'll mostly be so whipped we'll all sit around havin' a good boo-hoo and wonderin' WTF happened.

That's why I like post-Apocalyptic sci-fi. I used to like Mel Gibson but it turns out he's just another racist freak and it's all fiction, anyway. Gimme Kevin Costner, "Waterworld" and "The Postman". Especially "The Postman" 'cuz it's kinda believable. Let's all embrace the willing suspension of disbelief, it trumps the coerced condition of bein' baffled by bullshit.

Casey, I forgot to mention, I also have +500 rounds of 12-ga, 1 oz Federal rifled slug loads too :D ...

Gun is loaded with centurion ammo then a slug load.. makes a nice alternating pattern..

9mm is Hydra-Shok JHP ammo along with pre-ban Black Talon loads... I don't like leaving anything to chance! Same goes for the .357 magnum loads.

My brother has the Mossberg 500 - it feels like a plastic toy compared to my Remington 870 Express. Besides, the Remington also uses a SpecOps recoil reducing stock and a SureFIre 150 Lumen tactical light - blinds the hell out you!

The Desert Eagle is just showing off but I still like it - very intimidating but not as intimidating as my shotgun.

Meltdown? I just hate to see honest, hard working people in dire straights. They didn't cause this problem - I feel very fortunate & blessed I have a virtually rescession proof job....

Voodoo Man, I agree 110% - that's the #1 reason I hate this adminisration so much. I respect the office of the presidentcy but not it's occupants.

I just helped my parents move out of their old house and got to clean out my Dad's old bomb shelter with him. In the book collection there were many hits from the Carter years published by the Delta Press with such titles as "Surviving the Collapse", "Defending your Retreat", and "101 Places to Hide Things from the Government". I thought that was very timely.

Oh, and they suggest Armalite AR15, Rem 870, Cold 1911, & a Rem 10-22 for small game. All with 5000+ rounds.

A feller tried that back in your pre-teen years. His name was Nixon. They were called wage and price controls. It took almost 20 years to get over that one.

I like my Glocks... so how can a Mossberg be too much plastic compared to a Glock? And how 'bout Mattel's Best, the original AR15/SP1?

I like my black plastic guns!

The best part of the Mossberg is that distinctive sound it makes when racking a round into the chamber. The other deal is to get the factory Mossberg Zytel stock and forend, the fit and finish is 100% better than some of the aftermarket junk. I have one aftermarket forend that jams on the receiver. Isn't that special?!

I had a virtual Noah's Ark of firearms ten years ago, two of everything. All set fer Y2K!  I'd need a damn wheelbarrow to carry it all around not counting ammo and mags. One rifle, one shotgun, one sidearm per person is plenty. One long gun stays in your vehicle, pick one.

'Course, this is America. Chicks can own 80 pairs o' shoes, I can own a big ol' pile o' fancy shootin irons.

I'm fairly certain I mentioned this before, it's a matter of havin' the right solution and havin' everyone on the same page. It all falls down when it comes to the discussion of the "right" solution. We all want money, we all want toys, the more wretchedly excessive the better. Maybe it comes down to the roof over yer head, the shoes on yer feet and the clothes on yer back. A moldy futon in the corner 'n' some beans 'n' rice in the pantry. That makes my sidearm redundant but it sure feels reassuring...

This ain't the friggin' Congo, though. It's a long way down to where weapons become relevent.

The venerable Colt 1911 has been supplanted by the M9.

The good ol' 10-22 is still made by Ruger in scenic Newport, New Hampshire. "Live Free or Die!"

Holy Toledo! You guys are insane gun nuts!

(whereas I just need 12ga, 45 acp, and .223)

Judgement Day rides on my person. Ever since I was robbed in my yard by thugs who followed me home. Next hood in my yard can be found across the street with a head in it.

9mm is tiny.. outgunned. My Kimber makes a 10 foot flame! :)

I hate thugs.
