Props to this site!
I just joined the Vintageamp forum yesterday. I found a post in a google search for a speaker cabinet I was interested in, but had to join to reply. It was easy to join and the forum is set up in a manner that is easy to navigate. At first I was like a kid in a candy store, but so many of the posts are just redundant and unanswered, it started to feel that the people looking for help didn't take the time to see if anyone else had a similar problem. I'm guilty of that myself at times but I try to look at least 8 pages back first, or do a search. I also found the site slow to load and hard to back out of a post without starting from scratch in my search. There was alot of interesting information to be found if you had the patience to sift threw it. Over all it made me realize how nice The Amp Garage forum is, The quality of the posts, genuine answers, fast navigation threw the posts, and the clean up from the adminstrators. Just wanted to say GREAT JOB!!!

Yes, I have checked out a couple other amp forums.
One of them was Amp Talk. No offense to the members there but it looked like a bunch of kids trying to talk about something they don't know anything about.
There were a couple others I looked at also but, there just doesn't seem to be that much traffic on them.
This place is by far the best amp forum on the net, with very knowledgeable people to boot.
I also like the fact that there are several pro builders here that are willing to help people like me understand these thermionic valves.

We've come a long way since the old BBS forums, yahoo groups, and ampage. This site is also hosted on a great provider. Same one I use for my business.
