Heck yes. Let's pool some dough and get a start up going. File immediatly for bankruptcy and get some TARP money to rescue this essential industry.

We've put in $750 billion already. Obama wants another $700 billion. Some economists want $1.3 trillion

There will be a lot of rejected blue jeans going overseas when they start print all that fake new money.
Someone said that California is going to send IOU's out for state tax refunds this year.
That will help the economy there :?: :?: :?: :?:
I think I will have to change my deductions so I'm sure I owe. Pretty much have had to pay over the years but, I never could see letting them use my money interest free.

Gee i can hardly wait, yeah california! I know they can't do this, but it would be so cool, if instead of a stimulious package just for one year you wouldn't have to pay taxes!!! I'm tired of having to bend over and take it. Oh that thought puts a smile on my face it would be so great!!! I hate writing that check, more then being stuck in LA holiday traffic! I'd rather buy a house or a dozen+ original TW's then give away money to see it wasted. They prove every year they can't manage it properly and pass so many legal binding initiatives they spend it faster then it comes in, on the stupiedest shit. It's cool though soon china will own california.

I came across a statistic today that says Americans now use 1.9 Billion square feet of storage space outside the home. That's your local mini storage place folks. We got so much stuff, we can't keep it all in our homes in spite of them being twice the size of the ones we were raised in.

Before blasé...

Back then... Judging from that great video...

Folks were jumping with joy just to ride in a car...
Today...they are depressed...

The car was ten times faster than horse...
Today?...there is so many cars on the road, especially in cities, that cars are ten times slower than a horse...

Assembly line workers were extremely thin and fast...
Today... they are averagely fast and fat...

two ways out of this mess

1. Longterm fix. Un-elect every single person in DC right now, every single one of them no matter who they are, and ban lobbyist immediately.

2. Absolutely no money to be given to any company, business, or group without the following
a. Immediate resignation of the top 3 levels of management, all funds and all of their accounts business and personal locked down until they are cleared of wrong doing.
b. Thorough investigation and prosectution of those breaking any law, or using any shady accounting practices. This is key to restore the confidence of the American people. Put the crooks in jail and ban their re-entry into the market.
c. Take 75% of the bailout money and distribute it evenly to every American Taxpayer.
d. Ban any funds going to PAC's. You did know that ACORN is in line to get 4.3 billion didn't you.

Americans need to show the market and Washington DC we are sick of their shit and want our country back. We can only do that if we change what we are doing now, which is nothing.

I heard a couple smart guys on talk radio today.

They said the Dem's are in a panic because they are afraid the economy is going to heal itself with good old capitalism and that they want to rush through the stimulus and TARP so they can get all the pork barrels that are riding on the tails of the bills.

I really think the best answer is to line them all up and......

When these guys can start throwing around figures in the billions and trillions like it is chump change, there is something very wrong with the system.

A trillion dollars is a million x a million dollars.

A trillion one dollar bills stacked on top of one another would be approximately 64,000 miles high!!!!

Kind of puts it into perspective, no?

Pretty soon the Chinese government is going to have the keys to every house in America...............if we keep this crap up.

At least with the Obama plan there is accountability for what and where the money goes. Anyone care to venture a guess as to where the first $350 Billion of the Bush plan went? Kiss that goodbye forever.

Prediction for 2009...

The scary thing is .....no one in Washington is smart enough to figure this out. I listened to two of the top economists in the country and neither can agree what to do. These are the economic professors that are teaching our children and probably taught many of the politicians.
just my 2 cents!!!!!

It actually went to preferred stock in said banks. The orginal plan by Paulson was to buy toxic assets with it, but it proved to be not near enough money to buy up the trillions in bad credit default swaps out there. The US Government actually owns parts of these banks now. The AIG deal was perhaps the worst of it. We taxpayers now own part of a wretchedly run insurance company.

I don't suppose it's of much interest to folks that Paulson was actually the guy that engineered the 40:1 leveraged CDSs while he ran Bear Sterns. Talk about putting the fox in the henhouse.
