It see the page detailing the 440 but no kit.
Then when I click on the amps and kits to the left I see the PI and high octane amps but not the 440.
What am I doing wrong?
It sounds as though you are looking on the Doberman site. Chris doesn't sell them, I do. I don't have a fancy shopping cart system, or anything like that. Shoot me an email at:

Friend of mine, Scott, playing through a EBMM>Carvin speaker in custom cabinet>SM57>WAV>MP3. Various amp settings and guitar settings.
Zero processing, post or otherwise. No pedals.
Notice how quiet she is... for those of you having buzz issues. Lead dress and following the grounding scheme is important.
Enjoy,
Steve
Very nice indeed Steve!! Well done!! You've got a great pallet of tones there and I can really tell how quiet it is. Cliff's amp is the same way; dead quiet. I like the transition from clean to distortion and back too.
I'd love to see some gut shots of your build. What kind of caps did you use for the signal path? Mallory 150s? Orange Drops? Also, did you create an artificial center tap for the heaters or elevate them with DC (or both)?
I got a transformer set for a 4-4-0 build from Cliff and picked up some nice NOS RCA 6SN7s too...time to build myself a Christmas present!
Cheers!
p.s. I used to live in Baltimore County. It's snowing here in Houston tonight...what a fluke!
Steve, if you have any observations on the lead dress or other build faux-pas on my part (gut shot about 4th post from the bottom on page 14) I'd love to hear them. I believe I've followed the grounding scheme shown in the schematic / layout with the exception of adding a connection to ground on the shield of the wire from pin 2 on V5 to the volume pot. I have not had a chance to try swapping tubes yet or adding a base plate, so those in combination might do the trick, but if there's something I can improve in the wiring department I'd appreciate knowing about it.

Steve, sorry I missed page 14. I checked out your build photo page; really sweet. Very discrete build. That bird's eye maple cab turned out great too. Thanks for posting.
I looked at your gut shot and the only thing I did differently, in general, was to add the two 100R resistors (virtual CT) at the filaments and tied to the (+) side of C6. AND remove the wire going from C6 to pin4 of V3.
That helped eliminate what little bit of hum I had from my first build back in November. So I just repeated that layout with this latest build.
Can't answer the question about the Heyboers, but my guess is, no, they wouldn't affect the hum potential.
drew,
Contact Cliff@chappellamps.com if you want a complete kit with chassis.
I used a Hammond 1444-26 chassis for my build (16x8x2) because I didn't want to use the AX84 based chassis.
Brian, I just swapped out the Heyboer for a 125C to see if I could drop the volume a bit. It seemed to work & now I'm trying to find a combination of tubes that really shine. I also ditched the shielded wire to the volume pot and did the virtual CT as per Steve (sst4270). I LOVE the amp though, it's a blast to play and sounds very "tough", very much as it's been described in this thread. I highly recommend it as a home-friendly TW type amp & a great kit. My wife's had enough of the "blooming", but she can't wipe the grin off my face after I've been playing for a bit

Now I have to get it in some kind of cab.

I bought one of the Heyboers but haven't installed it yet. As for tubes, I found the Tung Sol tall bottle 6sn7 to be very chimey in the amp, the RCA to be a bit darker, and the Sylvania to be somewhere inbetween. The Tung Sol was Cliff and my top pick.
Cliff makes some really nice cabs for $300 and he throws in a matching faceplate or two.
