Dana- Great, I will PayPal you the $64 for the board and tubes!

Do you have a rough layout and BOM for the amp so that we can start ordering parts??? Perhaps I missed that somewhere, but I did not see it reviewing the whole post...

Hold off on the paypal until I get the boards in and ready to ship. they are due to be shipped from the manufacturer on 12/3. I haven't done any BOM yet but will try and get one together this week and get it posted.

Cool project, I was tempted but I have another mini size prototype going and that is plenty for me right now.

I don't know if you've got a chassis spec and someone lined up to make them but if not I think my local shop would do them pretty reasonable. Anything from buffed aluminum to an anodized or powder coated finish... as long as all of them are the same.

Looking forward to hearing a few of these and watching your build progress.

I appreciate the offer. I have a local guy who can bend up the chassis. I am still trying to finalize a couple of things, the chassis and power supply board are the last two items. This amp is using a fixed bias supply and all of it is on a board about 2"x 2". The only AC on the board is for the heaters and I may even look into a DC filiament supply for those. I also want to look into coming up with a small combo or head cab design and a front panel.

If I left anyone out please let me know as I can probably still add a few to the order on Monday. After that I won't be able to change the order.
Thanks

They are due to be shipped from the manufacturer on the 3rd of December. Of course, I will build one as soon as they arrive and make sure the board works properly and there is no "gotchas" before shipping them out. I am working on putting a BOM together. Most of the parts I used I either got from Mouser or bought locally so I am trying to find Mouser part numbers for those parts. I will probably do some power supply boards by hand for anyone who wants those (They are single sided) I have submitted a chassis drawing to a local shop and am waiting on a quote from them.

Then there is the Columbus Guitar show coming up on Jan 11th (anyone going to be there :?: :D ) and I am trying to get a couple of combos ready to sell at the show, I am shipping VVRs daily and working my full time job, Band Practice Thursday nite and Sunday..........jumping on the forums now and then and answering email.................    Thank God the holidays are coming!!!

Dana, are all boards spoken for? If not, I'll take a kit.

At this point I think they are. I have agreed to take any over runs that the manufacturer may produce so there is a possibility of getting an extra one but I would say the chances are slim for this go around. We will see how much interest there is in the boards after the first doz are built and I will probably order more in Jan 2009.

Fair enough. Thank you. By the way, the clips you made sounded quite "chunky" & thick ... I like it!

Thanks Dana for the update! I think that I certainly would like the PS board as well, perhaps others on the list will too.
