What is the correct way to post pics?

I've tried to post pics several times in this forum and it used to work just fine by adding an attachment. lately the images post for preview but the following day they are gone. what is the new procedure?

ok .. so if i check it from my computer profile that i posted the pics from they are viewable but if i go to another computer or profile i can't see them... I just uploaded the pics to photobucket and pasted the link hopefully that will work.

Yes, I use Photobucket.

I have noticed on this forum software before that if the image is too large a file that it has trouble uploading it.

Just post a photobucket Img file and it works better.
