tubetek wrote:The late TwinReverb used an Ultra-Linear OT AND the PT used a Bridge Rectifier setup. If this is the model you have, it's not the best to use for a Dumble clone. The earlier Silverface Twin PT and OT are exactly what HAD used for most ODS builds. Does your OT have 3 or 5 leads on the primary?
5leads indicates the Ultra-Linear setup. Hope this helps...

Thanks for the info! Looks like there are three leads on the primary. Numbers on the OT are
022889
606 5071 7

If it has only three leads (and none have been cut) on the primary, then it's not a UL OT. The tranny code also corresponds to Fender's part number for a 125A29A...same OT in a BlackFace Fender Twin.

Jelle,
I have a PT and O/T from a UL 135W Twin Reverb. THey are no use to me. If you want them, just give me shipping money and you can have them. They both work fine. You might need to extend some of the cables, I think I just snipped them off when I did a conversion for someone a few years ago. Like I say, they both work fine.

But it is a neat layout none the less.

It's in the ballpark, but it's a 6V6 amp and it isn't based on a Twin chassis...not enough holes. ;)

I'll keep looking.

Thank you, heisthl! That's the one I thought I'd remembered seeing. I should have remembered that it was yours.
