1600 volt cap's
When building my D’lite, all I had in .05uF cap's was 16oo volt. Does using a super high voltage rating component like this compromise the tone at all?
Re: 1600 volt cap's
I've never used a cap this large, but I can say that different caps sound different. What manufacture and type of cap is it?

In order to get the full benefit of the D'clone system you ultimately need to be looking at Sprague Orange drops in their 6PS range or Xicon MPP series. Others will work but won't surrender the true sound of a D'clone. If it physically fits it should get you up and running until a suitable replacement can be found. I find the 715's a tad harsh as couplers. You're better off with PS6 or Xicon MPP IMO.danotron wrote:Its is huge...its an Vishay/Sprague Orange drop 715...
