Has anyone ever seen Bumble use a Marshall style Cathode follower to drive the HRM Tone Stack?
Anyone have a source for the 2.5" tall Aluminum U channel he used to make chassis?

It would likely change the tone and it would also distort with all that signal going into it. One of the common things you'll see in hot-rodded Marshalls, Soldanos, Mesa Dual Rectifiers, and Bogner XTC is that typical gain stage/cathode follower pair right before the Marshall-style tone stack. In all of those amps the bulk of the distortion is occurring in that gain stage/cathode follower pair. Not saying that's bad by any stretch (I love it)...but it's def different.

The answer to the first question is YUP and the answer to the second is NOPE.
But a search of metal suppliers should turn up a source for the channel. Bet he found it at some junk shop and cut it to the desired length. With the right blade it is very easy to cut on a table saw.

Looking at the HRM layout I am working on, I see it could be accomplished with some pretty simple changes (if I am not mistaken). See the posted JPG.
I guess I wouldn't be surprised if what Glasman says is true, because, it looks to me that only a thorough investigation with a ohm meter could tell the difference. The wires to the tube socket could be identical.
Also, with this CF arrangement, if you follow the eyelets straight up to the HRM board it would make the 'extra' test eyelet on the HRM board correspond to the plate voltage on the CF...interesting
(in the Non-CF version, if you follow the eyelets straight up, the 'test' eyelet would be redundant with the input eyelet).
