I keep reading about the d lite . I belive thats what I want. BAsically I want only the overdrive sound in a head that I can use to head switching.
I have a great tech who is a friend that will build it for me.
I just need to be able to hand him all of the info to get started.
I noticed there are a lot of projects going on here.
Can anyone point me to the tried and true version for ford distortion tone and the schematic and layout?
Unfortuantely, Im not really a guy who understands much technical aspects beyond tubes and common guitarist knowledge so I dont know how to sift thru all of the info.
I am reasonably happy with the sound im getting from my amps and pedals but I have an opportunity to get this guy to build what I want.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks'
Shane

There's not much since in having another tech build this for you. Just go to brownnote.net and buy one from the guys that designed and have experience building these amps. You won't be dissapointed.

The OD section feeds off the clean section, so the only thing you'd be saving over a standard model is the cost of a relay. So a complete D-lite may be what you really want.sidehatch wrote: BAsically I want only the overdrive sound in a head that I can use to head switching.

sidehatch,
You won't go wrong with one of these kits:

A decent amp tech should be able to knock one of these out for you in a week or less. Or better yet - build it yourself. It's a great learning experience. You may as well build it as a channel switcher with no relays. Just leave the panel switches set to OD. This will eliminate you having to source the parts and you would have a decent "base" unit to tinker with.
Good luck.
