Re: two tone stack?
Hi Mirlo02;
The second tone stack is only for the overdrive. On this version, the first tone stack is almost always disconnected via the PAB relay when the overdrive is used.
Also, your schematic is a bit dated. You'll find more carefully researched versions in the Dumble Files section of this forum.
Good luck, Skip

Re: two tone stack?
mirlo02, that is known as a HRM ( Hot Rubber Monkey).
The second tone controls are internal trimmers used to adjust the OD channel.

mirlo02, welcome.
Go to the files section and look for the ODS101 schematics. These are far better than the one you posted.

Re: two tone stack?
thanks for your help guys, another question,is some dumble style schematis with 2 chanel ,clean and overdrive, with independent tone stack? switching chanel via relay,I appreciate your valuable help, thanks
Re: two tone stack?
The Dumble circuit is a single channel with overdrive. If you're looking for a true 2 channel amp you'll have to look elsewhere.mirlo02 wrote:thanks for your help guys, another question,is some dumble style schematis with 2 chanel ,clean and overdrive, with independent tone stack? switching chanel via relay,I appreciate your valuable help, thanks
That said, I've often had the same thoughts. It would take an additional 12AX7 and some creativity but it could be done.
Good luck.
Re: two tone stack?
Yeah, I guess we refer to these amps as having a clean and OD channel but that is not technically correct.

Re: two tone stack?
I believe that is Bob-I's schem. He's got a layout posted too.
I think he mentioned a little bit about the results. Maybe he'll be back...

Re: two tone stack?
The amp is in the 4rd generation now. The 2 tube reverb is gone and a one tube in it's place, plus there's a Dumbleator in there now. I haven't completed the documentation on it yet, but that's the general idea.
