Liverpool BOM
OK gents, here's a first pass at the LP BOM.... critiques are requested.
I can't find a good source for the 220uf 100V PS caps... neither Mouser nor Allied had anything like it. Please let me know if you know what the "real" part is.

Yeah, Allied no longer stocks the Mallory-CD SKA221M100.
Mouser does have a few different choices:
647-TVX2A221MCD Nichicon
594-2222-021-19221 Vishay BC
140-XAL100V220-RC Xicon

Re: Liverpool BOM
can't open xls files.. what cap are you talking about.. the cathode bypass caps are 220uf @35v I have quite a few NOS rubycons like were in the wreck amps

Hatie Mae and Tammy had 50V 220uf Rubycons, unless I'm not looking at the pics right. For the life of me, can't remember where I got the 100V figure from. Pics weren't readilly available then.
NOS rubycons would be great. Or if you want to go with Mouser, the Nichicon and Xicon have them in 35 and 50V versions too.

Re: Liverpool BOM
I went off the M Kryger updated Schematic and Tim Hulsey's layout drawing.... so that's where I got the values.
If 50V is OK electrically, works for me! Any thoughts on which of the above mentioned caps are best- given that the PS does affect tone....

Re: Liverpool BOM
Hey Ron, great job. Thanks for the hard work. I think though that for good communication here please refer to these as power tube cathode bypass caps. You had me worried. These have about 11 volts on them in practice.Richie wrote:can't open xls files.. what cap are you talking about.. the cathode bypass caps are 220uf @35v I have quite a few NOS rubycons like were in the wreck amps

Re: Liverpool BOM
Thanks Dan, my pleasure. As you can see, my circuit knowledge is not anywhere near yours or many here.... Please let me know if there are any other descriptors on either BOM that are wrong.
Change made to description and voltage (50V).

Minor changes added... this will be a living document until I get it totally right...

Re: Liverpool BOM
Ron, you can use 130 Ohm resistors for the Bias and it will probably be required for new tubes but, real Liverpools came with 120 Ohm resistors. I've seen 4 real ones.

Re: Liverpool BOM
Thanks Allyn, I've noted it and updated the BOM with a note indicating that.
