Here are some that I stumbled upon via a PM'd lead from Fishy here on the forum...

I bought all that they had. They fit perfectly- as you can see, they need to be 1.5" long total to work- the Mouser supplied Keystone and Amphenol lugs are both about 1/4" too short to fit around a PEC, AB or Clarostat pot casings.

I've set up a vendors page on the wiki with Preferred and Non-preferred Vendors:

http://ampgarage.com/wiki/Vendors

Thanks,
Omar

Or coming at it another way, there could be a sticky of recommended suppliers. If you don't see Ampwares on it then you know to do some searching or ask ....

WARNING - ampwares email adress is not valid

Post by narapo »

Another very bad experience for Ampwares : in January I have placed an order with them to make myself a brown Vibroverb clone ; at the time they were the only one to offer some of the parts (for instance those 350K-70K tap pots) ; since the confirmation order, I got nothing, and no anwers to my emails, because their several email adresses (ffg@ampwares.com, webmaster@ampwares.com) don't seem to be valid anymore.

I kne from the forums they were slow in delivery but now it looks more like roberry, they took my money and you can't reach them either by phone or email !

I made the same mistake. I went as far as calling my credit card comp. to halt payment. Two days later I received the shipment. I'll never order from them again.

That's a bit of luck, guitarsnguns04, but my order is now more than two month old, and their email adresses are no longer valid it seems, so I am very afraid I will never get anything

I was forced to order from Ampwares several times. I even returned an item and had to wait AGAIN for the replacement. Here's the tip: I had my girlfriend call really early in the morning and she spoke to the guy who runs the one man operation. She got through on two separate occasions by calling very early, and it did speed things up.
