Working on an early Fender '59 Bassman re-issue for a friend of mine.
Fender put in a "fake" screw where the original tweed 5F6A had a small bracket installed on the power transformer.
On the Bassman re-issue, Fender installed a sturdy steel bracket in the side of the cabinet, that is topped with a rubber bumper of some sort.
The bumper is long missing, of course. The old Fender part number is 020912 "Bumper BP1 (FOR XFRMR BRACKET)
I haven't the part number, just wondering if anyone has one or can describe whatever rubber bumper is supposed to be on top of this bracket that the supports the power transformer in the RI '59 Bassman amps?

It's nothing special, just a "L" bracket with a rubber foot glued on.

Figures. I guess I need to find one that's about 3/8" thick somewhere.

God to your local hardware store to look at what they have for see thru packages hanging up of replacement adhesive furniture feet .
They might not have rubber, but it does not have to be .
And when serving the amp that bracket comes off first and when the amp chassis goes back in it goes on last , otherwise that’s how that rubber foot got sheered off in the first place.
Sheet type pads can be cut with scissors and stacked up to get more thickness.

Yeah, I went combing the local good hardware store that actually has a lot of hardware and didn't find anything thick enough. The 3/8" thick bumpers I ordered from Amazon were of course, not 3/8" thick.
I'll dig around and see if I have any Jazz Bass pickup foam around. I think it might do the trick.
I had wondered if the bumper were molded with a slot to slide over the bracket to help keep it in place, since i don't recall what was there the last time I had an early re-issue '59 Bassman on the bench.
