Dsm Humboldt Simplifier users?

Post by davebolden44 »

I recently got a mark 1 simplifier and really enjoy how great it sounds. I was just curious if anyone else is using or have tried them. I have messed around with some digital modelers but could never quite figure out why I thought they felt off to me. Perhaps I am crazy. I have played so many tube amps now that I look for in a modeler the same feel/inspiration, just in a format I can have in my pedalboard. I feel like this little simplifier box is the closest I have ever came, in fact I am equally satisfied with it amped with a seymour duncan powerstage 200 into my 412 cabinet as I have ever been with any of my "real" amps. Just curious what other thoughts and opinions are out there among people well versed in using tube amps?

Kinda thumbed through the threads. I had a tonex pedal for almost a month. Once I got the simplifier I sent the tonex back to sweetwater. Tonex has a ton more features but I still prefer that little analog box.
