Hello, I have been searching everywhere for the Dumble approved blue goop. I know it is Permatex blue gasket maker, I just can’t figure out when. Any ideas?

Re: Blue Goop! Looking for the right stuff
Assuming he was buying the stuff off the shelf, does Permatex come with a use by date? Probably not but it seems we have a better idea of when the amps were built.
Providing the stuff doesn't become hygroscopic or go brittle with age and heat, does it really matter? Is this for a restoration, or a new build?

Have you de-gooped an original and now need to re-goop it? We promise not to tell anyone as long as you send pics!

Looks like you want Permatex 8002, which appears to be morphing into 81724 Ultra Blue. 80022 is still listed for sale at multiple outlets. It's a gasket material, but non-corrosive. Did you mean to say "what" and not "when?" I certainly wouldn't use any old stock.Charlie Wilson wrote: ↑Fri Dec 13, 2024 5:30 am I know it is Permatex blue gasket maker, I just can’t figure out when.
