New build for client. I'm using Andrea's excellent "Prince '60s" PCB for the first time, with no issues. Very good.
The only issue I'm having is ugly distortion when pushed, but only when send to reverb is connected, even when Reverb control is turned to zero. I thought it might be the routing of the red reverb transformer wire, but pushing it around has no effect. Any ideas?

That's a nice looking build!
Does pulling the valve in V2 stop the nastiness?
If so, I suggest to try a grid stopper or unbypassed cathode for V2.

Don't jumper pins 1 and 6 together by going straight across the socket. Do it exactly as Fender did... Make a loop around the socket from pin 1 to pin 6. See pic.

Thanks, Steve! Good tip.
I solved the problem by replacing the new JJ 12AT7 with an old RCA. Solved the issue.

Sound was exactly right. Building with the PCB was a breeze. Great grounding scheme. No issues. Cheers!frusciante89 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2024 8:37 pm Amazing build! Nice to see the Prince in action! How does it sound?

Aaron, very interesting the way you dispensed with the twisted heaters. I take it no issues at all. Is that the extra girth of the wire you are using is carrying that current and rejecting hum.
Re: 2024 Monkeymatic Shasta (PR) using aaelectronics PCB
It's just that the twists are unnecessary. Our fear of heater hum getting into the signal path is largely overblown, especially with low gain amps like Fenders.
