Awesome work! I am going to do the exact mod. I believe the schematic is missing the 47pf cap in the phase inverter. I'll comb over in more detail as well.

Hot off the press and John Mayer is now playing with it. An interesting looking UltraPhonix Bandmaster by Dumble. Around the 6 min mark.

Also in the pics seem to have another Dumble in a Fender 75 Chassis? Vox cloth

the pics are from Emerald City Guitars youtube video... and in the video they said it was a boutique amp build, the vox cloth one. and also in the video he was gifted a dumble pignose.
Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
I was away for a while so I couldn't upload the photos directly. Looks pretty cool with the alligator grill! Anyone know the source of these knobs? It looks like it has G L in between the 1-10. I dug around the internet for 3 hours and came up with nothing. The custom UltraPhonix badge is highly likely made by DropLight Industries https://www.droplightind.com/products/p/deluxe-badge and scaled down to around 6" in length. I ordered a standard size one and it was a little larger than the one you see in the pics so I ordered another run. I highly recommend them!
It seems in the later years of Dumble's life, he was doing more modded Fenders (Clapton, Kenny Wayne Sheppard, etc) versus the chassis fabrication route.

Hello --
In their opening era G&L made some amplifiers and other gear. Not many. Some quite similar in packaging style to MusicMan. Speculating this amplifier was a built using one those as the donor. Look out for an example with that style of knob. Given production numbers likely to be a deep search, perhaps even fruitless.

Interesting! It's totally possible and to that point, I might quit the search for the exact knobs and go for new style ones. Very interesting about early G & L and possibility that the knobs could be one of them. I learned something! Thanks!didit wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 7:25 pm Hello --
