Is there such a thing or is every amp unto itself. What are the rules of lead dress please.

I'll start so people can comment:
Eeveryone has their own opinion mine is to put the heaters high in the air, run the cathodes and plate wires close to the chassis with the grid wires at chassis or board level. if you have to cross over a plate wire do it at a right angle. The cathode wires are so close to ground potential that they don't bother anything in fact on the first 2 tubes Dumble would run the cathode wire from the first side of a tube in parallel and even touching the plate wire of the second half of the tube. At the pots I tend to run tone stuff above the pots and volume stuff below the pots. I try to keep the O.T. (speaker) wires away from everything, ditto for the O.T. Primary wires,within reason.
Study some real Dumble photos for more insight(s).

That's probably one of the old ENIAC computers.
At least they didn't have to heat the room it was in..... :lol:
It contained 17,468 vacuum tubes! :D
