Does Heyboer (or anybody?) offer a 35W OT with a dual tap primary
I'm thinking about a 5K and 8K in a 35W push/pull OT. I see that ClassicTone made a SE version when they were around, and it caught my eye. I see that TW OT with something setup for a Rocket and an Express. Anybody used this OT? Thanks.

Check out amppartsdirect.com and send an email to Dan. I requested a couple things that are special order and he had answer in 24 hours. If they make it, he can get it. If you need something custom they will usually do it with something of a charge or small minimum.
I have bought 10 Heyboers in a few weeks and super happy with service from APD.

What output tubes are thinking of running in PP that would call for a 8K primary?

I have a Classic Tone 40-18037 made for the 18W Marshall and EL84s that is taking up shelf space. (It's as large as a BFBM OT, btw). I'm building a PR using the AAElectronics PC board. I'm overbuilding things, the PT is MM with 5A Filament, 4A rectifier and 150mA primary and the plan is to swap from 6V6s to 6L6s (on occasion) if the change in sonics is worthwhile.
But I've given up on the dual tap OT. Instead, when I swap to the 6L6s, I will run an 8 ohm load on the 16 ohm tap. This should get me down to the 4.2K area I think. And actually, Stevem, if you done something like this before please chime in.
