I don't know if it'll make you sound better, but if i had a 10K amp I was useing, you better well believe that a Line Regulator would be the first thing I plugged in !
I've seen a lot of Equipment smoked due to High Voltage in some club's.
I have not seen your video, but the Furman Model AR1220 is a very good unit,

Most of the photos I have seen of Robben's rack have the Furman AR-1215 VOLTAGE REGULATOR/CONDITIONER.

I have a 1215 and it is a great unit.

Seems I recall Daved saying that Robbens Dumble is running through variac to keep the voltage at a constant 125V.

Maybe I dreamt it (getting old sucks).

Maybe I shared that dream as well for I also recall Daved mentioning the same thing. I also remember Daved saying Robben liked the sound of 16ohm cab off the 4ohm tap a few years ago. I do know of 2 local players
who use mid 60s Bassman heads(modded with extra gain stage) that swear by the 16ohm into 4 (been doing it for a few years with no problems) saying it sounds alot more airy.

Check the RF Forum for voltage. Daved said Robben always use a Variac with his Dumbles.

I have seen pics of the RF variac too.

I'd use one to keep the sound consistent, in fact I do use one.
