following the posts about Tweedle Dee , I decided to create a clone and tribute to the genius Alexander Dumble , who unfortunately left us .
includes a master volume and choke mod

Nice build!
What type of MV did you implement, as it is not stock on the Tweedle Dee?
What would the choke add ? Filtering? Hum cancellation? Any effect on the sound or feel of the amp?
What speaker do you plan to use for this? Celestion Rocket or something else?
Fred.

Fred thanksbuddy
the choke for better filtering effect and eliminate any humm, the amp was noiseless the master used the similar to dumble small special and princeton dumble
. I used a jensen P12Q and tungsol 5881 , the output used a Custom 20w 8k primary
Nice crunch drive sounds

Congrats!
I think I can hear the Jensen ...
Your amp sounds definitely more into vintage Fender's territory than my Celestion voiced one...
I already read about the great contribution of a choke on a 5E3. I'm glad it worked for you.

Hello
Realy Nice work!
I have one question. I have a Tweedle Dee but don't like the MV. Somehow it makes some fizzy sounds that I don’t like.
Do you have a schematic of yours? That could be very helpful.
Thank you
Kind Regards
Martin

Here is the LARMAR Master Volume that I implemented on my Tweedle Dee's, I believe others have used it as well or something similar. I requires a 250K dual pot. I first tried a version using a single 1M pot between V2a and V2b, but didn't find it to be very linear. I like this version a lot, I have cascading channels in my builds and I can crank them into massive crunch but keep the overall volume at bedroom levels.

I'm in the process of rebuilding my own Tweedle Dee Deluxe and I am thinking about that (MV+casc) instead of the VVR ...
Could you tell us how did you wire the cascading inputs, please ?
@m.alexander: thanks for the demo, by the way ...

Here is the full schematic I use. Its a combination of a number of other builders' ideas and drawings, I've tried to credit them. Apologies to anyone I left out.
It has worked great for me so far. The only thing to watch out for is that in cascade mode it gets farty if Volume 2 is up to high. Volume 1 can be cranked to 10, however.
