Finished up and had some fun. It's not TOO difficult to make a musical end product if it has NO FRETS! But, wow, I really, really appreciate all the talented luthiers out there even more now.

I did! I lasered on the fret markers. They're hard to see, but in practice, very valuable for finding pitch.
