Yoshi's across the bay in Oakland is always hopping with something. Easy Bart ride under the bay and then an Uber from the station to the club.dcribbs1412 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 27, 2020 11:23 pm Wondering if anyone has suggestions for live music in San Francisco area.(staying around the Union Square area)

I was just listening to one of my clients play "Ramble On" through my old Scumbag 9 watt amp using my LP replica with PAF's and a 68 Marshall straight cab with G12H30 55 & 75hz speakers. Jesus, I need to practice more, this guy had it all dialed within 30 seconds!
It sucks to get old, and have a 30 year old come in and make you go "Damn, I suck!". LOL

Jim, I have iron to make a 2x6V6 SE build. I remember your amp. I have a '69 slant 4x12 with a pair of M75s and H75s. That was my go to cab for test driving Plexi builds. Time to ramble on....Scumback Speakers wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 10:59 pm I was just listening to one of my clients play "Ramble On" through my old Scumbag 9 watt amp using my LP replica with PAF's and a 68 Marshall straight cab with G12H30 55 & 75hz speakers. Re: What're you listening to right now??
Hey Folks,
Back on the board here after taking a very long hiatus. I am always listening to music, save for when I have meetings and such. I especially dig live music recordings as it captures a performance. If you all haven't heard of Relisten.net, go take a visit as it's pretty awesome. Their mobile app is even better than their website. Basically, it's a front end to archive.org's live music archive and works so much better than their own streaming player. I have even been able to revisit many shows that I attended for another listen, which is sweet. Even more remarkable is being able to go listen to material from artists that I have actually met and/or performed with, but never really heard any of their material.
Bands that I have been listening to:
Grateful Dead
Phish
Oysterhead (Hoping their show in April is not canceled, bought tickets the day they went on sale!!)
Garaj Mahal
Circles Around the Sun
The Allman Betts Band
More Fatter
Sun Ra
Tangerine Dream
Weather Report
Now to figure out which Dumble circuit to build. Leaning towards a low plate classic/standard. Something other than a TW will be fun to build. I'm sure all'y'alls will chime in with suggestions

Is it wrong to listen to yourself?
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... 160A6184E6
I played "Malcolm" in an AC/DC tribute called Bonny Scott. These videos are of us opening for Y&T in 2011. I had only started tinkering with tube amps, and joined TAG in April 2010, so I'm not playing my own build, but an Egnator Tweaker 15! Sounds good, tho. Shortly after, I bought an '83 Marshall JCM 800 2203. Man, that was an amp and a half. But it has been in the closet for years, so I just sold it. Bittersweet melody.
Rock on, friends!

Um, hate to correct, but Malcolm is the rhythm brother, and Angus is the SG lead player. Brush up before trivia night!pompeiisneaks wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 4:36 am Oh I just reread, you're malcolm so the SGnice
