Ok. Just wanted to get a feel for what transformers you guys are using in your builds. This is just a poll. You can just quote the stuff below and fill in what you're using! Just trying to help others like me that are starting their builds and are unsure of what transformers to use and what the different models sound like.

Re: Transformers...
Power: Marshall 50W Replacement CE # P-TM-P50
Output: Marshall 50W Replacement CE # P-TM050
Choke: Fender Twin Reverb Replacement CE # P-CF22699
Filament/Relay: Radio Shack (if they are good enough for the Man, they are good enough for me!) either 273-1365 (12.6v) or 273-1366 (25.2)
At least these are what I have used in the past 6 50 Watt amps. In the one 20 W amp I built I used replacement components for the Deluxe reverb.
Future amps will have custom iron.

Re: Transformers...
I've used both Marshall and Fender 100W PT's with similar results, I also built a Lower voltage amp using a Hi-Power Tweed Twin PT that was very sweet.
For EL34 amps I use OEI Marshall OT's
I always use open frame Tweed twin chokes
6l6 amps I use custom Iron.

Re: Transformers...
I've gathered here and there that HAD likes or liked iron with full 20Hz-20kHz bandwidth at the rated wattage. Did he change his mind? What has the DIY luck been with that approach?

Re: Transformers...
Power: Matchless Export model from Angela. 680 or 733 at 300ma. Don't know if it is current or NOS from the 90's. Incredible build quality but too heavy for a 50 watt amp
Output: ADA (also defunct) 4k primary. Got some cheap a few years back. This is my last one.
Choke: Hammond rescued from the famous Black Hole in Los Alamos.
Relay: 18v doorbell trannie. Through a 7815 into 12v relays with series LEDs on the switches. May put a diode on the 7815 ground if I need more voltage drop. Cheap at any hardware store.
This one is being thrown together. If I make another, it will be much more on spec.
