Basic Bluesmaster circuit with foot-switchable mid boost, OD, and PAB. Reverb is a little weak but I'll tweak that after Christmas. Yes Scottie, this will most likely be going to NAMM.

Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
Just finished tonight. Still a bit of tweaking to do, but everything works!

Nice Norm, where is the third HRM pot hidden? Are you still using the same style relays I used in my first builds? (think they were Tyco or omron)
Take a look at the Axicon D2N relays, very small and draw very low currents.
I will have to post some clips of my BM reverb amp. Sounds amazing.

Very nice build, Norm! My congrats!
Besides Gary's recommendation I'd recommend the NAIS DS2Y-S relay, the best relay I could find, since they've discontinued the awesome DS2E-F relay with the 'floc-contacts'.
This ones here:
http://www.larry-amplification.de/galle ... ure&id=109
The DS2Y-S in 12V is drawing only 12...15mA current.

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
Both are good choices, the D2N I use are in the same area, about 12ma draw and fits in a DIP socket.
My first amps used these ones I found at Radio Shack. I think they were around 50mA draw. ouch.

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
Thanks for the relay recommendations! I'll give both a try and report back.
Yes Gary, please post a clip. I haven't spent any time dialing this one in yet, but it seems to have potential. The "missing" mid pot is an 8k2 resistor.

Very nice Normster, I hope I can take my D'Lite to this level someday. BTW Glasman do you use a one or two tube reverb in your builds, and thanks for add info on relays.

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
Looks like a one tube reverb.Nice looking build!
My reverb unit has one tube also.I find it to be just enough reverb.Any more would interfere with the OD sound.
Very easy reverb installation with only one tube. Not your typical 'surf at three' fender but very useable. With a Ruby tank and a dwell control you could get very surfy reverb I should think.

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
In my amps, the Super overdrives, it is one tube (12AT7). The way it is implemented it has more that enough verb, I never go past 10:00 on the control.roadkingbluzs wrote:Very nice Normster, I hope I can take my D'Lite to this level someday. Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
I'm thinking about putting a BM PI section in my stock D'Lite that I'm running 6L6's in. I don't know if your build here uses 6L6's or not, normster, but if it does I'd love to see a circuit diagram for how to properly implement this PI with my D'Lite.

Nice looking amp!

One question: is the "including relays" preamp board going to be available from BrownNote? or is a layout available anywhere (pretty please
 )
Thanks
Nick

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
I don't think so but Moss mentioned having relay kits by the end of this month.
But I gave up holding my breath for those so I ordered some PCB's from Deric.

Re: Latest D'Lite build...BM Reverb
For those seeking relay boards, I have a large order coming in on Wednesday of this week. Moss has taken about half of them (for his production I think), but the rest are available thru Brown Note or myself.
These are similar to the ones I supplied before, but have a more robust PS (full wave bridge), on board status LEDs, and are slightly larger for easier mounting. Still using the Omron "ultra sensitive", 5V relays (30mA/150mW = to the NAIS DS2Y-5).
Attached are the board layout and the wiring diagram (shown with the PS "detached").
I will be glad to supply the ExpressPCB file for those who want to order their own PCBs, but small quantities are very expensive (~$28.00 ea for a quantity of 10). For DIYers, use the attached .pdf file as a print template for etching. The actual dimensions are ~7 5/32" L x 1 3/16" H.

If you up the balance resistor to over 2M you'll get surf.phsyconoodler wrote:Very easy reverb installation with only one tube. Not your typical 'surf at three' fender but very useable. With a Ruby tank and a dwell control you could get very surfy reverb I should think.
On my Super Reverb clone I lowered the balance resistor to 470k and 10pF. The highs are far nicer than the standard 3.3M/10pF.
