Happy birthday Marcus. The red Tele looks interesting, I initially thought it is a partscaster but it has a customshop decal on the back of the neck.
Yours Sincerely

Marcus, the thinline style tele with humbuckers is my main squeeze. I have a pair of Fender's MIC Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxes, customized to my spec: mini humbuckers and locking tuners from Guitar Fetish (both awesome!), one volume, one tone, stutter switch, coil split switch, Dunlop straplocks, upgraded nut from local luthier, 6.5 pounds.
And then there's the Carvin CT6...

very nice. I have a '78 Les Paul deluxe with mini humbuckers, it's a lovely guitar but as heavy as a collapsing sun!!
the Red tele has an Ervana compensating nut on it. I have those on a few guitars.

That's brave, Marcus. I'm sure you have nothing to compensate for...norburybrook wrote: ↑Fri Jan 11, 2019 10:13 amthe Red tele has an Ervana compensating nut on it. I have those on a few guitars.

Okay fine, I'll finally post mine
My Strat, I've had that one now since about '95-97 range, love it, fender lace sensor pickups. Stellar guitar. Next to it is a newer epiphone ES-339, got it as a gift from the wife about 2 or 3 years ago.
The SG I bought as a gift to myself after I got out of the army in about '05, next to it is the gibson monstrosity, a E-225 or some crap, it had a trem on it that was horrid, so someone replaced it with a bigsby but did a shit job of that, so I swapped it out for a hard tail, but did a mediocre job as well
The guitar still sounds decent, semi hollow with a P90, and coil splittable humbucker, so I can do quite a range of tones, but don't love it.
Then finally my newest, got it this last year, from a coworker, the wife calls it 'the other blonde in my life' Love that tele!

The humbucker and single coil set up is a good one in a Tele. However, you need to be able to control the volume of the humbucker. The Tele Custom is a guitar that should get more love. They cover a lot of ground, the neck pickup will do jazz, the back pickup will do country etc, and the two pickups together sound good for rock. Granted it is made during the CBS era and some are unbearably heavy. I played one recently that is gem. I just didn't want pay $4500 for it.
Yours Sincerely

Yeah, i didn't have that kind of scratch either, that's why i built mine. The pickups, the '71 WRHB and Nocaster, from The Creamery, in England, are balanced. Versatile.

You're a bad person as you own two of those Yamaha amps, I hate those little yellow pieces of rubbish. I don't see why people like them.
