I have just bought a used amp which was built by an amp tech in the UK about 5 years ago. I believe it's built using the Dumble 183# as a guideline using ceriatone schematic but was built custom for a customer. Really interested as to what it is, I believe it has the Skyliner EQ but non-HRM but I could be very wrong??!
Anyway, I will be putting this into a 1x12 combo and not sure which speaker yet but probably celestion 65, would love to know if there was anything I could buy to upgrade or any suggested improvements, I'm abroad for the next few weeks but excited to get home and play it.
Awesome thanks! I'm definitely not gonna do anything for a while but just wondering if there were any obvious things missing or could use upgrading. I think it doesn't have a FET but has a mid boost on both channels, also Hammond Iron. I will probably buy something to help out the passive loop, maybe the Fuchs Verbrator unless there's anything else that gets recommended. I always like the TAD 6l6 so will get a pair and I have a bundle of NOS 12ax7.
It's built nice, only thing to check as it is not very clear from pics:
heater wiring at the 3 preamp tubes. Make sure they dont touch any other wires that are connected to the tubepin lugs. If so, it's a recipe to have a bad tone.
Greetings! Clearly not an HRM, and there is no FET booster. Better pictures and perhaps component values would be needed to see exactly what flavor it is. I can feel my knuckles burning looking at those bias test jacks /:^\
