Forgot to reply as well. There is nobody that sells an entire kit that I know of. People sell random parts here and there.

Various "kit" forms. There are pictures, even though it says "coming soon". No experience with the company or products myself.

Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
Ceriatone has a very poor reputation here on the forums. My general understanding is:
1. They have horrible support and therefore most of the builders end up coming here to find help and we end up helping them figure out how to get their amps working.
2. They tend to use pretty mediocre quality everything, and change things regularly without documenting their changes
3. They basically took all of their kit designs from here without referencing the hard work done by the gang here, and also sell the kits and completed amps at a ridiculously low price meaning custom builders now have no chance of competing to build this kind of amp.
My 2c are that they seem to be happy making 5$ profit on a 700$ amp and flooding the market with lesser quality clones.
I may be jaded

Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
Maybe?
As Mark suggests, Bob’s kits at RJguitars is the answer. Though he has been quiet here recently so hope all is well for him.
Best .. Ian
Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
Just to make sure people know, Ceriatone does not use crappy components and their transformers are good as well.
I'm not going to get into the other statements.

Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
I maybe didn't clarify, this was the impression I'd gotten from others on this forum, I've never seen the insides of one. I don't understand then how he can give high quality components at such ridiculously low prices.
A built c-lator for 300$ when I pulled the parts list and my parts alone were 500$
Blows my mind personally. It definitely means people won't pay a custom builder that pays 500$ in parts and spends hours building a simple dumbleator more than 300$

Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
I figure he's looking for a kit, and Ceriatone sells kits at what seem like a reasonable price. Main thing is the chassis and boards ... if the rest sucks, replace it or don't buy it to begin with.pompeiisneaks wrote: ↑Fri Nov 02, 2018 12:35 am Ceriatone has a very poor reputation here on the forums. Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
Kits are how I got started, along the way I discovered TAG......then learned about wrecks and rockets......I feel the fact that you must gather all the parts for a rocket yourself........is the best part!! To me it meant i was becoming a real builder and it felt good to build something based on what i had read about.......instead of some offering from a company.
Just my opinion......

Re: Rocket Documents Discussion
And the you stash left overs from previous builds and just start building stuff cause you can’t stand the itch
it’s great!
